1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Conect ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.
These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including agencies, solopreneurs, team members, and any other individuals who access or use the platform.
2. Description of Service
Conect is an agency management platform that provides:
- Secure workspace management for agencies and solopreneurs
- Organization and team member management
- Customer relationship management
- Social media account integration and management (including Instagram)
- Subscription and plan management
- Audit logging and compliance features
3. User Accounts and Registration
3.1 Account Creation
To use the Service, you must:
- Be at least 13 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
3.2 Account Types
You may create an account as either:
- Agency: For businesses managing multiple clients and team members
- Solopreneur: For individual professionals managing their own business
3.3 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Meta Platform Integration
Our Service integrates with Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and Threads) through official Meta APIs to provide social media management and content embedding capabilities. This section outlines your responsibilities and our compliance with Meta's policies when using these features.
4.1 Connecting Meta Platform Accounts
Our Service allows you to connect Meta platform accounts (Facebook Pages, Instagram Business/Creator accounts) to manage content on behalf of your customers. By connecting a Meta platform account:
- You grant us permission to access and manage the connected account through official Meta APIs (Instagram Graph API, Facebook Pages API)
- You represent that you have the legal authority to connect and manage the account (either as the owner or with explicit permission from the owner)
- You understand that we will store encrypted access tokens to maintain connection without requiring re-authentication
- You can disconnect the account at any time, which will revoke our access and stop Platform Data collection
- You authorize us to use Platform Data (any information obtained from Meta platforms) solely to provide the service features you request
4.2 Instagram Graph API Integration
When connecting Instagram Business or Creator accounts, you authorize us to:
- Access profile information, posts, stories, reels, and media content through Instagram Graph API
- Publish and schedule content (posts, stories, reels, carousels) to your Instagram accounts
- Read engagement data (comments, likes, shares) when permissions are granted
- Manage comments and messages when permissions are granted
Permissions Used: We request the following permissions through Instagram Graph API:pages_show_list, pages_read_engagement, and instagram_content_publish. These permissions are requested only when you explicitly connect your Instagram account.
4.3 Facebook Pages API Integration
When connecting Facebook Pages, you authorize us to:
- Access page information, posts, photos, videos, and content through Facebook Pages API
- Publish and schedule content (text posts, photos, videos, albums, events) to your Facebook Pages
- Read engagement data (comments, reactions, shares) when permissions are granted
- Manage page metadata and engagement (comments, reactions) when permissions are granted
Permissions Used: We request the following permissions through Facebook Pages API:pages_show_list, pages_read_engagement, pages_manage_posts, pages_manage_metadata, pages_read_user_content, and pages_manage_engagement. These permissions are requested only when you explicitly connect your Facebook Page.
4.4 Compliance with Meta's Platform Data Use Policy
Our use of Meta APIs and Platform Data complies with Meta's Platform Data Use Policy:
- Authorized Use Only: We use Platform Data only as authorized by you through OAuth permissions and solely to provide the services you request
- No Unauthorized Sharing: We do not share Platform Data with unauthorized third parties. Platform Data is only shared with Meta's APIs as necessary to provide our services
- No Advertising Use: We do not use Platform Data for advertising, marketing, or any purpose other than providing the specific service features you authorize
- No Data Scraping: We do not engage in data scraping or automated data collection from Meta platforms outside of official APIs
- Data Minimization: We only collect and store Platform Data that is necessary for the features you use
4.5 Third-Party Terms
Your use of Meta platform integrations is also subject to the terms of service and privacy policies of Meta platforms:
- Meta Terms of Service: Facebook Terms of Service, Instagram Terms of Use
- Meta Privacy Policy: Meta Privacy Policy
- Meta Platform Data Use Policy: We comply with Meta's Platform Data Use Policy, which governs how developers can use data obtained from Meta platforms
- Meta Community Standards: We respect and comply with Meta's Community Standards when accessing and displaying content
You agree to comply with all applicable Meta terms and policies when using our Service.
4.6 Account Responsibility
You are solely responsible for:
- Ensuring you have proper authorization to connect and manage Meta platform accounts
- Complying with Meta's Terms of Service, Platform Data Use Policy, and Community Standards
- Any content published or actions taken through connected Meta platform accounts
- Maintaining the security of connected Meta platform accounts
- Ensuring that any content you publish complies with Meta's Community Standards
5. Embedded Content from Meta Platforms (oEmbed API)
Our Service enables embedding of publicly available content from Facebook, Instagram, and Threads using Meta's official oEmbed API. This section outlines your responsibilities and our compliance with Meta's policies when using this feature.
5.1 Compliance with Meta's Terms and Policies
By using our embedding service, you agree to comply with all applicable Meta policies, including:
- Meta Terms of Service: You must comply with Meta's Terms of Service, including the Facebook Terms of Service, Instagram Terms of Use, and Threads Terms of Use
- Meta Platform Data Use Policy: Our use of Platform Data (any information obtained from Meta platforms) complies with Meta's Platform Data Use Policy. We use Platform Data obtained through the oEmbed API solely to enable the embedding functionality and do not use it for advertising, marketing, or any other purpose
- Meta Community Standards: You agree not to embed content that violates Meta's Community Standards, including content that is hateful, violent, or otherwise prohibited
5.2 Content Ownership and Attribution
When embedding content from Meta platforms:
- Content Ownership: All embedded content remains the intellectual property of the original content creator or Meta, as applicable. You do not gain any ownership rights to embedded content
- Proper Attribution: Embedded content includes proper attribution to the original creator and links to the original post. You must not remove, modify, or obscure this attribution
- Respect for Rights: You must respect the intellectual property rights of content creators and Meta. Do not claim ownership of embedded content or use it in ways that infringe upon these rights
5.3 Prohibited Activities
You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities when using our embedding service:
- Data Scraping: Do not use automated systems, bots, or scrapers to collect data from Meta platforms outside of official APIs. We only use Meta's official oEmbed API for embedding content
- Content Modification: Do not modify, alter, or misrepresent embedded content in ways that violate Meta's policies or mislead viewers about the original content
- Unauthorized Data Collection: Do not attempt to collect, store, or use Platform Data beyond what is necessary for embedding. We comply with Meta's restrictions on data collection and storage
- Privacy Violations: Do not embed private or restricted content. Only publicly available content may be embedded
- Commercial Misuse: Do not use embedded content for advertising, marketing, or monetization purposes that violate Meta's policies
- Harmful Content: Do not embed content that is illegal, harmful, or violates Meta's Community Standards
5.4 User Responsibilities
When using our embedding service, you are responsible for:
- Ensuring you have the right to embed the content (e.g., you own the content or have permission from the owner)
- Complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and Meta's policies when embedding content
- Respecting the privacy and rights of content creators and users whose content is embedded
- Monitoring embedded content to ensure it remains appropriate and compliant with our Terms and Meta's policies
- Removing embedded content if requested by the content creator or if it violates any policies
5.5 Our Compliance Commitment
We are committed to compliance with Meta's Platform Data Use Policy and Terms of Service:
- We use only Meta's official oEmbed API to embed content, ensuring compliance with Meta's technical requirements
- We use Platform Data solely to enable the embedding functionality and do not use it for any other purpose
- We do not engage in data scraping, unauthorized data collection, or any activities prohibited by Meta's policies
- We respect content creators' rights and provide proper attribution for all embedded content
- We maintain transparency about our use of Meta's APIs and Platform Data in our Privacy Policy
5.6 Termination of Embedding Service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the embedding service if you:
- Violate Meta's Terms of Service or Platform Data Use Policy
- Engage in any prohibited activities described in this section
- Use embedded content in ways that violate applicable laws or regulations
- Fail to comply with our Terms of Service
We may also be required to suspend or terminate the embedding service if Meta revokes our access to their APIs or if we are found to be in violation of Meta's policies.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Violate any laws in your jurisdiction
- Infringe upon the rights of others, including intellectual property rights
- Transmit any viruses, malware, or harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Collect or harvest information about other users
- Use the Service to spam, harass, or harm others
- Connect social media accounts without proper authorization
- Use connected social accounts to violate platform terms or post harmful content
- Embed content from Meta platforms in violation of Meta's Terms of Service or Platform Data Use Policy
- Scrape, collect, or misuse data from Meta platforms outside of official APIs
7. Content and Data
6.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of all content and data you upload or create through the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a license to use, store, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
6.2 Social Media Content
Content retrieved from connected social media accounts remains the property of the account owner or the respective platform. We only access and display this content as authorized by you through OAuth permissions.
7.3 Embedded Content from Meta Platforms
Content embedded from Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Threads) through our Service:
- Remains the property of the original content creator or Meta, as applicable
- Is subject to Meta's Terms of Service, Community Standards, and Platform Data Use Policy
- Is embedded using Meta's official oEmbed API in compliance with Meta's policies
- Includes proper attribution and links to the original source
We do not claim ownership of embedded content and respect all intellectual property rights. You must also respect these rights when using embedded content.
7.4 Data Backup
While we implement security measures and regular backups, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important data. We are not liable for any loss of data.
Platform Data: We do not store Platform Data obtained through Meta's oEmbed API beyond what is necessary for the immediate embedding request, in compliance with Meta's Platform Data Use Policy.
8. Subscriptions and Payments
The Service may offer various subscription plans with different features and limits. By subscribing to a paid plan:
- You agree to pay all fees associated with your selected plan
- Fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly)
- You can cancel your subscription at any time
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- Refunds are subject to our refund policy
We reserve the right to change our pricing with reasonable notice. Continued use of the Service after price changes constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Conect and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
10. Service Availability
We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee that the Service will be available uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We may:
- Perform scheduled maintenance that may temporarily interrupt service
- Experience outages due to factors beyond our control
- Modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We are not responsible for any actions taken through connected social media accounts
- We are not liable for any loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
- We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or removal of content embedded from Meta platforms
- We are not liable for any violations of Meta's policies that may result from your use of embedded content
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Conect, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Any content or actions taken through connected social media accounts
- Your violation of Meta's Terms of Service, Platform Data Use Policy, or Community Standards when using embedded content
- Any misuse of embedded content from Meta platforms
13. Termination
12.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through the Service settings. Upon termination, all connected social media accounts will be disconnected, and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12.2 Termination by Us
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
- Fail to pay subscription fees
- Misuse connected social media accounts
- Violate Meta's policies when using embedded content
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:
- Posting the updated Terms on this page
- Updating the "Last updated" date
- Sending an email notification for significant changes
Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Conect operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
16. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
